How Kempt is made.

Stack

Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind CSS v4. Static-rendered pages with a small serverless backend for the early-access form. No third-party analytics or tracking.

Type

Newsreader (old-style almanac serif) for the masthead, hero, and section headlines and this colophon; Inter (sans) for body and UI, both via next/font, self-hosted by Vercel. JetBrains Mono for developer-facing text and field data.

Color

The Yard Almanac palette from design-tokens.json at the repo root: leaf green primary, sky blue for place, amber for sun and credits, warm oat-paper grounds alternating with a deep pine ink band.

Mark

A fine hairline sprout drawn at editorial weight, set beside the wordmark in the display serif. Provisional pending the product-name decision.

Method

Specs and stories scaffolded via the Lionshead BMAD workflow; keystrokes by Claude Code; operated by Allen Brooks.

Hosting

Vercel (Next.js, static pages plus serverless functions for the early-access form). Backed by Neon (waitlist), AWS SES (email), and Cloudflare Turnstile. Logs and latency are monitored; no third-party analytics, and no location tracking.
